By Chris Smith
EUROPEAN PLASTICS NEWS

HONG KONG (July 14, 2009) -- German injection machinery maker Ferromatik Milacron announced this week it has received an order for 14 machines ranging up to 650 metric tons from Hayco Manufacturing Ltd. of Hong Kong.

The first seven machines will be delivered to Hayco’s manufacturing plant in Shenzhen, Guangdong province, before the end of the year, where they will be used to produce parts for the company’s liquid purification and dispensing products.

This first batch of machines includes models from Ferromatik’s high performance K-Tec and Maxima product lines and extends from 350 to 650 metric tons of clamping force, according to a news release from Ferromatik Milacron Maschinenbau GmbH of Malterdingen, Germany.

One of the machines will be configured for multi-component production. Other units will include special features such as extended tiebars and modified machine interfaces.

Hayco manufactures electro-mechanical products for a range of end markets, including oral and personal care, liquids delivery, and household cleaning. The company operates 200 molding machines ranging from 30 to 850 metric tons and lists organisations such as Procter & Gamble Co. and Wal-Mart Stores Inc. as customers.
