U.S. sets duties on plastic bags from China WASHINGTON (August 4, 2009) — Plastic bags from Zhongshan, Guangdong-based Rally Plastics Co. Ltd. that were exported to the U.S. between August 2007 and July 2008 may be levied anti-dumping duties
of 17.95 percent, according to a preliminary decision by the U.S. Department of Commerce.
Gurit acquires stake in Chinese firm ZURICH (August 4, 2009) -- Swiss composite firm Gurit plans to strengthen its position in the wind turbine market after negotiating a deal to acquire a majority stake in an unnamed Chinese structural

unit — named Styron Corp. — will include Dow’s polystyrene, ABS, SAN, PC, styrene monomer, styrene-butadiene rubber and latex assets. Those businesses have annual sales of about $5 billion.
